Bold in Gold

I love gold. I've said it before and I shall say it again. Some day, I'll scream it off mountain tops in the Himalayas LOL. However until then I will advocate my love for the beauty that is gold. It is in my opinion by far the richest, most beautiful colour when it comes to women's fashion. Albeit a colour of great wealth, gold has the tendency to be a little bit tacky if not dressed correctly. So when I decided to wear my metallic gold pants I had to think long and hard about how to avoid the tacky factor. I lied, I know exactly how to avoid that factor. As I'm sure you all do as well. Whenever one item of clothing demands too much attention, keep the rest of the outfit as simple as possible. Be it, gold sequins, metallic or solids, the complimenting piece should in my little knowledge of attire be kept clean. Enjoy.

Flower Power

Alas! I have returned to my blog! There are days when I contemplate just blogging through Facebook or Instagram because it's so much easier. But then I think of my how much fun I have writing my two cents for anyone whose interested to read and I re-think my decision. Enough hoo-haa let's get to the point. Floral. We've heard about it, we've all seen it and most of you are dying to try it but can't find the right balance. Enter, centre stage: Myself. I love colors so much that whether it's an aztec print or flowers I'm all for it. It radiates a look of youth, energy and happiness :D Recently I did the floral denim with a chambray dress shirt and my oh my was I comfortable. Naturally to avoid looking too casual I paired it with basic black pumps. The best part about this entire look is, it was achieved in under $100 (shoes and necklace excluded). Nevertheless I hope you kitties enjoy the read and take something away from the look. To further prove my love for the floral print, I've attached a picture of a dress I wore 4 years ago to an engagement party. LOVE THIS DRESS!

Pink Panther

I don't like pink. I wear pink, but I don't like it. Just like I hate black, but that's another post. The link that society has drawn between the color pink and femininity is the only thing that draws me to it. Whenever I feel extra feminine I opt for pink. With that said, in this outfit I wore pink trousers with a leopard print shirt and my two tone heels paired with my absolute favorite fishtail braid. Pink looks good with so many colors, and I've provided a list of just a few. Hope you like it :)

My jeans, his shirt.

As you sit there and read the title of this post I know most of you smiled. Smiled, because every girl in the world knows for some strange reason mens clothes are always more comfortable. Obviously we can't wear his pants so let's settle for his shirts shall we? In this post I've paired his shirt with my jeans, earrings for some dramatic effect and finished it off with very standard black heels. If you purchase the dress shirt make sure it's a slim fit. That way when you tuck the front of it in just a bit, the back creates a neat little ripple that I think adds a effortless touch to the look. Hope you guys like it!

Ga-Reen

This outfit came together quite simple. I bought the dress from Glassons not too long ago thinking it would be perfect for the winter. Paired it with stockings and heels and ta-da!!! Personal style according to me should be many things but most importantly always effortless. If an outfit looks too complicated, it probably doesn't feel any better either. I always believed if it takes you more than an hour to get ready, you have issues, and it's not children lol!

Feedback is more than welcome.

Yellow Shift

Let's face it, when we go shopping we pre-set our minds to one simple idea. I either love it or it's not worth it. So when I went shopping 2 weeks and saw this little number I thought "hmmm do I love it or do I love it?." Unfortunately the answer to that question did not come until I went home. I dreamt of this dress, red shoes, red lipstick (MAC-Russian Red) and curly hair. When I woke up the following morning I made sure I had it in my closet by that evening. It was quite a steal from Portmans $89.99!!! It's super comfortable and very versatile. You can pair it with flats and enjoy a lazy summer day, add heels and complete a night outfit or wear it with boots and a cardigan over night!!! I hope you all go purchase one because I assure you, you'll love it!

The flower arrangement?

Hola mi amigos!!! I hope you've missed me because I've missed this blog. I've been terribly busy as usual, however I have decided to blog on-the-go from here on so that my posts are more consistent. I'll cut to the chase, the following look has been inspired by the recent flow of floral things I've been seeing everywhere. I saw these pants at a store for $35!!! Although I love color and flowers, I didn't know how the idea of such busy pants could ever come into a designers mind. Nevertheless I purchased the pants, paired it with a yellow Forever21 shirt and voila! Although floral generally goes with anything, I think the top color should be based on the most prominent color in the pants. In my case, because it's a base cream, I think red would look absolutely amazing as well. Anyway peeps, try it and let me know how you go!
